Crusaders sweep Carroll
The Norwell 7th-grade and 8th-grade boys’ basketball teams posted two victories Tuesday night against Carroll at Norwell. The 7th-grade Crusaders won 42-28, while the 8th-graders recorded a 43-29 win.
Andrew Oakes and Piercen Harnish each scored eight points to lead the 7th-grade Crusaders. Nathan Allison added seven points, Brandon Burch five, Adam Nahrwold three, Garrett Mohler three and Joseph Friend three. Chandler Shady and Ashton McCune both had two and Alex Hunter one.
The 8th-graders were led by David Vogel’s 14 points. Brent Bales had nine, Jonah Patten eight, Cal Clouser six, Graham Stoppenhagen four and Brett Wilson two.

Spaghetti supper at Southern Wells
The Southern Wells athletic department will be having a spaghetti supper on Friday, Jan. 22, in the high school cafeteria, beginning at 5 p.m. before the Leo vs. Southern Wells boys’ basketball games. A variety of spaghetti, garlic bread and salad will be served with a free will donation.

Norwell Baseball slates dinner
The Norwell Baseball Club will be having an all-you-can-eat fish and tenderloin dinner Friday, Feb. 5, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The girls’ basketball teams will be playing their last regular season games that evening against Southern Wells. Tickets are available from baseball players and coaches and also are being sold at all home basketball games at the home entrance of the gym. Pre-sale ticket prices are $8 for adults (13 and older) and $5 for children (ages 6-12). The price at the door is $9 for adults and $5.50 for children. Children under five may eat for no charge.
