Salamonie Bird Club goes eagle watching

Indiana DNR Release:

Watch a bald eagle soar in Indiana skies during the Salamonie Bird Club eagle watching trip, Feb. 20, from 2 to 7 p.m.

Meet at the Interpretive Center for a short talk about eagles, then travel to well-known eagle hang-outs. The event ends at a nearby site where eagles roost for the night.

The trip consists of more than 30 miles, so participants should make sure they have sufficient gas, dress for the weather, and remember their binoculars. Those who need to leave early should drive separately or with a group who plans to do the same.

Advance registration is required by calling (260) 468-2127 or visiting the Salamonie Interpretive Center. There is no fee for the event or property admission at this time.
