MS Tigers
sweep Eastbrook
The Bluffton Middle School boys’ basketball teams opened 2010 with a pair of victories Wednesday night. The 7th-grade Tigers edged the Eastbrook Panthers 38-36, while the 8th-graders won 44-40.
Kevin Moser scored 18 points to lead the 7th-grade Tigers. Kohl Buskirk added eight points, Noah Antrim seven, James Spera three and Dane Hoffman two.
Mike Pearson netted 14 points and Jake Garrett 12 to guide the 8th-graders. Josh Streveler had nine, followed by Kaben Kinsey with six and Austin Brigner three.

defeat Panthers
The Bluffton 7th-grade girls’ basketball team continued their winning ways into the new year with a 27-23 win over the Eastbrook Panthers Wednesday night at Bluffton. Meanwhile, the 8th-grade Tigers lost 30-18.
Erin McKinley paced the 7th-grade Tigers (10-1) with 12 points. Morgan Corle added seven, Emma Thompson five, Lauren Stauffer two and Catie Neuenschwander one.
Taeler Meadows scored 12 points for the 8th-grade Tigers (3-8). Cassidy McKinney, Hanna Mock and Emily Koenn each chipped in with two points.
