Indiana DNR Release:
Enjoy an evening on the moon―focusing on the moon, that is, at J. Edward Roush Lake. On Jan.30, from 4–8 p.m., learn fun facts about the Earth’s only natural satellite from members of the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society during an indoor presentation, and eat a “moon” meal in the warmth of the heated building.
Then, head outside to view the night sky through telescopes belonging to society members while listening to stories around a bonfire. Finally, take part in a property-wide scavenger hunt from the comfort of your car.
There is a $5 program fee per participant. Registration is required by calling Upper Wabash Interpretive Services at (260) 468-2127.
There is no gate fee at this time.
