Reservation call center now open 7 days a week, Nov. 4

Indiana DNR Release:

Campers and picnickers who want reserve a campsite, picnic shelter, recreation building or cabin at DNR state parks or reservoirs, Starve Hollow State Forest or Deam Lake State Recreation Area will be able to take advantage of phone reservation service seven days a week, year round, starting Nov. 4.

The new hours of service will be Nov. 4, 2010–April 26, 2011, Monday–Friday, noon through 4 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon–3 p.m. Hours during the recreation season next year, April 27- Nov. 2, 2011, will be noon–8 p.m., Monday– Friday; Saturday–Sunday, noon–3 p.m. The call center is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Previously, depending on the time of year, phone reservation service was available only five or six days a week. The change provides better customer service and allows customers the ability to speak to a live person seven days per week if they need help with making, transferring or canceling reservations.

The phone number remains the same, 1-866-6CAMPIN (1- 866-622-6746). Online reservations can be made 24 hours a day here.
