Indiana DNR Release:
Visitors to Indianapolis for Final Four weekend who still need an affordable room in Indianapolis may want to consider Fort Harrison State Park Inn, which has a limited number of options still available and does not require a four-night minimum stay.
The inn offers many amenities you won’t find in a downtown hotel, including a chance to escape the crowds during the spring weather and get out on the links or trails.
“The inn is just minutes from downtown excitement and events, but you can also enjoy the features of a 1,400-acre state park and the Fort Golf Course during downtime,” said Indiana State Parks director Daniel Bortner.
Fort Harrison State Park and Inn and the Fort Golf Course are on Post Road and 59th street, 16 miles from Lucas Oil Stadium. The inn has an elegant charm, nice guest rooms and reasonable prices. The park features hiking trails, multi-purpose paved trails, shelter houses, lakes, a saddle barn for guided trail rides, and a visitors center.
The Fort Golf Course, designed by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye, is one of the best public courses in the state.
Those interested in rooms or a tee time should call (317) 638-6000.
