Eagle activities at Raccoon and Turkey Run, Feb. 5-7

Indiana DNR Release:

Turkey Run State Park and Raccoon State Recreation Area are teaming up to offer a weekend of bald eagle activities, Feb. 5-7.

Road trips to eagle roosting and nesting sites, seminars on owls and raptors, presentations on birding, along with plenty of time to socialize with fellow birding enthusiasts will highlight the weekend.

Turkey Run Inn, located inside Turkey Run State Park, will serve as base camp for the weekend-long event.

The Wabash Valley Chapter of the Audubon Society will distribute disposable bird feeders on Saturday to attendees.

There is a program fee of $20 per adult and $15 per child, ages 4-12. Children ages 3 and younger will be admitted free of charge. The fee increase from last year covers the cost of the entire event, including the bus tours.
