Salamonie children’s camp, Dec. 28-30

Indiana DNR Release:

From ice skating to ice cream, ice is often a childhood favorite. During Christmas break, Salamonie Reservoir is once again hosting a three-day camp for children, ages 7 -11. This year’s theme is Ice Capades. Each day’s activities run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Campers will make homemade ice cream, play ice games, conduct ice experiments, discover “frogcicles” and learn about winter fish survival and ice fishing. The camp features indoor and outdoor activities, movie time, snacks, crafts and games.

All camp activities are guided by interpretive naturalists trained to provide a safe and fun environment. A small snack will be provided, but children must bring a sack lunch with a drink each day.

Advance registration is required by calling (260) 468-2127. Space is limited. There is a $45 participation fee, $10 of which is a nonrefundable deposit due one week before camp begins. Parents must fill out health and participation forms. There is no fee for property admission during these days.
