Crusaders sweep Indian Springs
The Norwell Middle School boys’ basketball teams added a pair of victories to their ledgers on Tuesday evening. The 8th-grade Crusaders defeated Indian Springs 45-39 and the 7th-graders won 33-26 at Columbia City.
Garrett Mohler scored 19 points to lead the 8th-grade Crusaders. Reggie Hayes added 12 points. Adam Nahrwold and Brandon Burch each contributed 6 points, while Ashton McCune tossed in 2.
Derek Macon and Bray Wilson each tallied 11 points to lead the 7th-graders. Carson Lockwood netted 8 and Kaleb Johnson 1.

Norwell 8th-grade girls win in OT
The Norwell 8th-grade girls’ basketball team defeated Summit 44-39 in overtime on Monday evening at Fort Wayne.
Liara Isnogle scored 19 points to lead the Crusaders and Erika Thornton netted 13 points. Hanna Smith added 8 points, while Caitlin Herndon and Chloie Williams each contributed 2 points.
Thornton also pulled down 6 rebounds, Herndon 5 and Smith 4 and Madi Stinson 3. Thornton also had 4 steals, Isnogle 3, Herndon 2 and Monica Frauhiger 2.
