Shatto nominated for All-Star Game
Norwell senior Jeff Shatto was selected Wednesday night by the Indiana Football Coaches Association Region 3 coaches as a nominee for tight end on the North All-Star team.
The IFCA Grange Insurance All-Star Game will be on Friday, July 15, at North Central High School in Indianapolis.
The North All-Star coaching staff will be selecting the team from the five North regions in March.

Raider girls roll over Woodlan
The Southern Wells Junior High School girls’ basketball teams took two games from the Woodlan Warriors on Wednesday. The 7th-grade Raiders won 34-16 and the 8th-graders won 35-7.
Tori Wiese scored 12 points and Michaela Smith 10 to lead the 7th-grade Raiders. Rease Minniear added 4 points, while Sydney Jones, Kelsey Boughman, Lori Plummer and Savannah Ocasio each contributed 2 points.
Savannah Deakyne led the 8th-grade Raiders with 8 points. Brooke Penrod followed with 7, Megan Lefebvre 6 and Allison Blevins 4. Jordyn Sills, Megan Yencer, Lela Knowles, Emily Junk and Kiara Leas each added 2 points.

Fish and tenderloin fry at Norwell
The Norwell Baseball Club is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat fish and tenderloin fry Friday, Jan. 14, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Norwell High School cafeteria before the Bellmont vs. Norwell basketball game.
Tickets before the fry are $8 for adults ages 13 and up, $5 for children 6-12, and free for children under 5. At the door, tickets are $9 for adults and $5.50 for children. Tickets may be purchased from Norwell baseball players or at Norwell home basketball games. Proceeds will benefit the Norwell Baseball Club.
