Indiana DNR Release:
Nominations are being accepted by the Department of Natural Resources for a position on the Indiana Trails Advisory Board (TAB), due to an unexpected board vacancy. The vacancy is for an all-terrain vehicle user.
The TAB was established by the director of the Indiana DNR to form recommendations for state trail plans. TAB members are considered state representatives of their respective organizations, so nominees must have their organization’s support.
Representatives will be asked to send information back to their constituents from TAB meetings, so good communication with represented user groups is needed. Interested individuals should read through the entire TAB website before completing the nomination instructions.
Nominated volunteers must be associated with a trails-oriented organization and use an ATV. Nominations on why a nominee best represents a particular trails-interest group will be accepted through July 21, 2010. Individuals may nominate themselves.
Nominations may be submitted by e-mail, fax or mail. Instructions and submission information can be found at www.in.gov/dnr/outdoor/4206.htm.
