Indiana DNR Release:
Bring your kayak and join an early morning bird-watching event with a twist at Wahk-Shin-Gah Lake, June 13.
Kayakers will take to the water and paddle around the lake in search of birds. Participants should meet at 7:30 a.m. at J. Edward Roush Lake’s main office on Indiana 5. From there, it’s a short drive to Wahk-Shin-Gah Lake. Participants should bring
binoculars, bird identification books, drinks and snacks.
The program is free to participants using their own kayak. A limited number of kayaks are available for rent. There is a $5 rental fee. Register by calling (260) 468-2127.
Park entrance fees of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 per vehicle for non-residents will apply.
