Bluffton wrestlers take it to the mat

Monday night was the final Bluffton Tigers' wrestling team dual meet. The Tigers hosted the Garrett Railroaders at the Tiger Den.The Tigers recognized four senior members of the wrestling team. They were Jose Araulo, Seth Higgins, Kyle King and Bobby Perry.
Check out the 119-pound match of Bluffton's Philip Gerber; Bobby Perry in his 125-pound match; and senior Seth Higgins in his 130-pound match.

Wrestling Club notice

Bluffton Wrestling Club registration was tonight, but due to the Garrett meet being moved to tonight, they will push it back to next Monday January 18th. With registration starting at 5:30 and practice being 6:00-7:30.

Norwell Dance Team

Saturday's Norwell boy's basketball game brought out a great performance from the Norwell dance team during halftime.
The Dance Team held a clinic earlier in the day and all the hard work paid off. Fans from Norwell and Carroll enjoyed the show.

MS Tigers
sweep Eastbrook
The Bluffton Middle School boys’ basketball teams opened 2010 with a pair of victories Wednesday night. The 7th-grade Tigers edged the Eastbrook Panthers 38-36, while the 8th-graders won 44-40.
Kevin Moser scored 18 points to lead the 7th-grade Tigers. Kohl Buskirk added eight points, Noah Antrim seven, James Spera three and Dane Hoffman two.
Mike Pearson netted 14 points and Jake Garrett 12 to guide the 8th-graders. Josh Streveler had nine, followed by Kaben Kinsey with six and Austin Brigner three.

7th-grade Tiger girls
defeat Panthers
The Bluffton 7th-grade girls’ basketball team continued their winning ways into the new year with a 27-23 win over the Eastbrook Panthers Wednesday night at Bluffton. Meanwhile, the 8th-grade Tigers lost 30-18.
Erin McKinley paced the 7th-grade Tigers (10-1) with 12 points. Morgan Corle added seven, Emma Thompson five, Lauren Stauffer two and Catie Neuenschwander one.
Taeler Meadows scored 12 points for the 8th-grade Tigers (3-8). Cassidy McKinney, Hanna Mock and Emily Koenn each chipped in with two points.
